A story about a shepherd
Jesus told a story about a shepherd with a hundred sheep. One sheep was lost. The shepherd did not treat that one as unimportant.
Looking carefully
The shepherd went to search until he found the missing sheep. Searching took effort, but the sheep mattered to him.
A joyful return
When he found it, he put it on his shoulders and rejoiced. The story is full of the happiness of finding what was lost.
Come celebrate
The shepherd called his friends and neighbours to rejoice. Jesus used this picture to describe the joy over one person who turns back to God.
