Good news in Bethlehem
Luke 2:1–20 · Retold for children
A journey to Bethlehem
Mary and Joseph travelled to Bethlehem for a registration. While they were there, the time came for Mary’s baby to be born.
A manger bed
Mary gave birth to Jesus, wrapped him snugly and laid him in a manger. There was no room for them in the lodging place.
Good news for shepherds
Shepherds were watching their flocks nearby. An angel announced good news of great joy: a Saviour, Christ the Lord, had been born.
Come and see
The shepherds hurried to find Mary, Joseph and the baby. They shared what they had heard and returned praising God. Mary treasured these things in her heart.
